The sea and usThis week I've watched the America's Cup yacht racing on the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland. I understand that many thousands around the world have done so with me. All of us must have seen how beautiful the Gulf looked. This week I've had an email from Greenpeace. I'm a supporter of this environmental protest group and have been for many years. The email announced a series of three short videos entitled People of the Sea – 3 or 4 minutes each. I thought you might like to see one or more of them. They implore us to care for the oceans. They are very New Zealand orientated but if you are not a New Zealander I think you'll quite easily make parallels with situations in your own country. At the end of each video there is a plea to sign a pledge to protect the oceans. After Part 3 I've put a link to that voluntary pledge. If you want to sign it please do. But first enjoy the films. To watch Part 1, turn on your sound, click the arrow, then click the full screen icon bottom right. At the end of the video, get back to this post by clicking the full screen icon again,or by doing whatever your device suggests. Would you like to see Part 2?Again, just click the arrow, then click the full-screen icon bottom right. Would you like to see Part 3?Again, just click the arrow then click the full-screen icon bottom right. If you'd like to sign a pledge to protect the oceans, click here!
